EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services. The Group – comprising Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter is the largest European aerospace consortium. In 2009 the group employed a workforce of 119,000 personnel generating turnover of € 42.8 billion. Airbus, the manufacturer of the Airbus line of transport aircraft.
