Tests new Global Command Architecture
|
The US Navy also participated in JEFX 08-3, testing elements
of its future Maritime Headquarters concept with Maritime Operations
Center (MHQ with MOC) supporting the planning, execution, and
assessment stages of operations. The Navy's participation focused
mainly on its ability to interact with MOC and other operation
centers around - such as the US Air Force Air Operation Centers
(AOCs). These new formations are designed to streamline processes
and communications at the naval operational level between fleet
and naval component commands. Through these facilities, the
Navy plans to establish a global network of maritime headquarters
that will be in constant communication with each other and able
to consistently and quickly transition from peace time operations
to combat, humanitarian relief, or other operations as required.
