Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has signed a collaboration agreement with robotics vehicle manufacturer DOK-ING D.O.O from Croatia, on the manufacturing, marketing and sales of robotic systems designed for high-risk operations in conditions affected by chemical, biological, radioactive explosive (CBRNE) materials. DOK-ING provides remotely controlled tracked vehicles for that have proved their worth in demining and firefighting applications, offering high mobility in complex terrain.
The addition of autonomous capabilities will extend the platform’s capabilities for operations beyond line-of-sight, adding new capabilities to allow it to perform its tasks efficiently and without risking human lives. IAI will provide such advanced robotic functions featuring algorithms for autonomous movement, broadband communication and command and control system capabilities. The vehicles will be equipped with sensors suitable for detecting and classification of contaminants, including chemical, biological and radioactive radiation.
