Chilean Air Force Tests an Upgraded EW System for the F-16
ITT Exelis completed a successful demonstration of the new block upgrade of its AN/ALQ-211 Advanced Defensive Electronic Warfare System (AIDEWS). The updated Block 5.2 configuration will be available to upgrade the defensive aids systems (DAS) for six international air forces which have selected the ALQ-211 AIDEWS for their F-16s.

ITT Develops a Podded Version of the AIDEWS Electronic Countermeasure System
The ITT Corporation is developing a pod-version of the Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare System (AIDEWS) already employed on non-U.S. F-16s. The pod will match the same form factor of the current ALQ-131 electronic countermeasures pod. The first customer of the new pod version is the Pakistani Air Force.
