Israel’s Ministry of Defense (IMOD) has announced the acquisition of 'Fire Weaver' - a networked sensor-to-shooter system developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. Fire Weaver will be implemented at the divisions of Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF) as it becomes operational in the coming year.

AFSOC to Equip Dismounted Teams with an Advanced Wearable C4

The U.S. Air Force is fielding equip enhanced wearable command and control systems to enable dismounted elements to guide and control close air support operations. The Black Diamond Advanced Technology company was selected by Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) to develop a specially configured version of its Modular Tactical System (MTS) wearable system.

New Miniature Lasers Improve Air/Ground Coordination, Response

Elbit Systems is demonstrating several new systems providing ground forces with better, safer air support. Among the systems displayed at the AUSA exhibition are the Rattler and Serpent-M, an ultra-light, battery-powered laser target designator and marker is small enough to be carried by foot-mobile war fighters, enabling soldiers to designate targets for laser-guided bombs, missiles and other munitions.
