As the most sophisticated combat vehicle of Russian production, the ARMATA Main Battle Tank and heavy Armored Fighting Vehicle family has a high price threshold, by Russian standards. The Russian Ministry of Defense publicly presenting today the first members of the Armata family of heavy armored vehicles - the T-14 main battle tank and T-15 armored infantry fighting vehicle. The two vehicles are designed to become the spearhead of armored formations of the Russian Army, replacing T-72, BMP-2 and MT-LB based platforms.

The Russian Ministry of defense is lifting the veil on a new family of combat vehicles that has been under development in the past years. The vehicles unveiled this week during a parade rehearsal near Moscow include the T-14 main battle tank and T-15 troop carrier, both based on the new Armata tracked platform.
