Coordinated Drone Attack Targets the Russian Black Sea Fleet at Sevastopol
The drone attack on the Russian Navy's main Black Sea port of Sevastopol on 28 October represents a new phase in the modern drone war. According to Russian MOD, the attack involved nine unmanned aerial vehicles and seven unmanned strike boats. The Russians admit damage to one of their vessels and to one of the port barriers.
Russia Confirms Tsirkon Hypersonic Missile Test
On 6 October, the Russian Ministry of Defence successfully tested the Tsirkon hypersonic missile. The tests were carried out from the waters of the White Sea, from the “Admiral Gorshkov” frigate. The test is the latest in a series of qualification tests (state tests) of the hypersonic anti-ship missile developed for the Russian Navy and the first performed from a combat vessel at sea.
Bastion-P Test Reinforces Russian Control of Arctic Marine Route
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the completion of a successful firing test of the Onix ground-launched, supersonic anti-ship cruise missile at a naval target floating at the Arctic Sea, 200 kilometers from the Chukotka Peninsula. The test reinforces the Russian claim to control this new, strategic sea route that has opened as a result of global warming effects.
The Russian Carrier Admiral Kuznetsov Returns to the Mediterranean Sea

Russia Maintains a Squadron of 10 Ships in the Mediterranean
The Russian Navy has squadron of ten vessels permanently patrolling the Mediterranean Sea, Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander Admiral Alexander Vitko told reporters on Thursday in Sevastopol. Ships of the Pacific, Northern, Baltic and Black Sea fleets make up the squadron on a rotation basis.

Russia Plans a Permanent Naval Task Force for the Mediterranean
