Houthis a New Cruise Missile, Quds-3
New ballistic, cruise and loitering missiles were shown by the Houthis in the recent military parade in Sanaa, Yemen. Among the new missiles on display was the Quds-3 cruise missile, believed to be a new, longer-range variant of the Iranian Soumar cruise missile.

Iranian backed Houthis in Yemen targeted the Saudi capital Riyadh today, launching a Burkan 2 ballistic missile. This was the second failed attempt by the Houthis to hit the capital of Saudi Arabia. Using conflicts in Syria and Yemen to demonstrate the capabilities of their weapons, particularly missiles and long-range weapons, Iran is projecting power and influence throughout and beyond the region.
Iran’s cruise missile could strike targets beyond 2000 km
Iran unveiled today a new, long range surface-launched cruise missile designed for land-attack. The cruise missile called 'Soumar' was presented today. The missile is believed to be one of the variants of the 'Meshkat' cruise missile announced in 2012. Meshkat is believed to be a reverse engineered version of the Russian Kh55 cruise missile, transferred by Ukraine to Iran in 2001.
