Finland Stealth Boats to Get Israel’s Gabriel Advanced Naval Attack Missiles
Finland has selected Israel's Advanced Naval Attack Missile to replace its current MTO85M system, a derivative of Swedish RBS15 that will reach the end of its life cycle in the 2020s. The new missile will be installed on existing Hamina-class missile boats and the new Squadron 2020 vessels, the first will be launched in 2019. According to the Finnish MOD, the missile will also be usable from vehicular platforms on land and against land targets.

Finland is upgrading the Hamina-class fast attack missile crafts to assume the mission of Rauma class Fast Attack Crafts that will retire in 2020. The Squadron 2000 Mid-Life Upgrade programme will extend the service life of Hamina-class vessels until 2035.
Finland Modernizes 65 XA-180 PASI 6×6 Armored Personnel Carriers
Patria Land Systems will modernize 65 XA-180 PASI armored personnel carriers for the Finnish Army. This modernization that will take place in the next two years (2018-2020) at a cost of 16 million euros, will sustain the vehicle's operations through the 2030s. Among the systems undergoing refurbishment are electrical systems, power transmission components, suspension and external coating. Modern seating with security belts will also be installed in the vehicles.
New Slovak-Finish 8×8 AMVXP Undergoing Winter Testing in Finland
A new version of an amphibious AMVXP integrated with Turra weapon system is undergoing winter testing in Finland, under a joint development program with Slovakia. Slovak Army trials are expected to continue through March. Slovakia plans to procure up to 81 IFVs as part of a military modernization program. Deliveries are expected to commence in 2018-2024.
Finland Orders PMVP Armored Vehicles for Testing
The Finish company Protolab Oy will deliver four ‘MiSu’ 6x6 Protected Multipurpose Vehicles (PMPV) for testing by the Finish MOD. The ballistic and mine protected vehicles will be tested in the next two years, as part of the evaluation of new armored vehicle for the Finnish Army.
