Israel's tactical radar pioneer RADA Electronic Industries reported new orders worth US$5 million for two variants of its mobile radars, the Multirole Hemispheric Radar, employed in Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM), Counter UAV (C-UAV) and Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) applications.
Facing a growing aerial threat from unmanned systems, rockets, artillery, and mortars, the U.S. Army is accelerating the fielding of an Interim, Mobile Short Air Defense (IM-SHORAD) system to complement the tactical formations of its Stryker brigades. Leonardo DRS, Inc. was selected to provide such IM-SHORAD Mission Equipment Package (MEP) for installation Stryker A1 vehicles. The package includes onboard radar system, a turreted weapon system mounting missiles, guns, and non-kinetic (jammers and Electronic attack) capabilities. This system will provide the “detect-identify-track-defeat” capability required to defeat UAS, rotary-wing and fixed-wing threats.
Active protection is a new area of interest for the British Army. During DSEI The Leonardo group announced it was selected by the MOD, to demonstrate APS technologies to counter evolving threats. The British MIPS seems to align well with the Modular APS architecture developed in the U.S., as deliverables from both programs will provide common controllers and other key subsystems that will enable the integration and fielding of affordable soft and hard kill APS solutions.
Aware of the growing threat of bomb-laden mini drones that recently emerged in Iraq and Syria, the US Army is rushing to field countermeasures and kinetic effects designed specifically to defeat drones. DRS and Moog are cooperating with RADA to demonstrate such 'hard kill' system for testing in October.
Israel's defense electronics company RADA Electronic Industries announced it has recently received an order to supply an RPS-42 tactical air surveillance radar to a leading European defense contractor. The new radar, a member of RADA's S-band multi-mission hemispheric radar (MHR) family of systems, will be delivered later this year. According to company sources, several customers have selected the RPS-42 for aerial surveillance missions.
The US Office of Naval Research (ONR) unveiled some of the most advanced unmanned and autonomous systems developed today, that could introduce new concepts of warfare in the years to come.
Israel's defense electronics company RADA was recently awarded an order to supply tactical radar systems for a national alert system
Lightweight, mobile C-RAM radars are providing enhanced situational visibility, force protection to modern tactical forces
Israel's participation at the Eurosatory defense exhibition this year was the largest ever. This review covers many of the highlights displayed at the Israel national pavilion organized by SIBAT, Israel's defense export directorate.
The US Office of Naval Research (ONR) is evaluating the integration of laser weapons as an enhancement for the US Marine Corps’ existing low-altitude air-defense capability, which currently lacks reliable CounterUAS (C-UAS) and Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (CRAM) capabilities. An innovative radar system from RADA is providing surveillance, detection and target acquisition for the laser weapon system

RADA Electronic Systems has successfully demonstrated the Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) capabilities of its new Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar (MHR). The company expects initial deliveries of systems to customers by year's end
Israel’s defense electronics company RADA reported yesterday on the successful testing campaign of its new family of radars. Among the systems being tested are the company’s Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar (MHR) and the Compact Hemispheric Radar (CHR), both systems are undergoing field trials and demonstrations in Israel and abroad
