Gambit – an Air-Launched Drone for Manned-Unmanned Teaming
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), introduced today an 'Autonomous Collaborative Platform' (ACP) called Gambit. “Gambit will usher in a new era, where UAS work collaboratively with manned aircraft to detect, identify and target adversaries at range and scale across the battlespace.” GA-ASI President David R. S70 Okhotnik Flies MUM-T with Su-57
Sukhoi and the Russian Ministry of Defense have flown the S-70 Okhotnik unmanned aerial vehicle with Su-57 fifth-generation fighter aircraft for the first time. The flight that laster 30 minutes as part of the ongoing test program. On this flight, Okhotnik flew with a full avionics configuration in an automated mode.
Robots Join the Army Manned-Unmanned Hunter-Killer Teams
The event demonstrated collaboration of manned and unmanned vehicles conducting a combat mission. Among the unmanned assets included in the demonstration was an all terrain vehicle (ATV) modified with a landing plate on top, to operate a tethered multi rotor UAV and an aut0nomous mortar vehicle that provided direct and indirect fire support for the combat team, using the robots as fire observers, thus establishing a robotic 'hunter-killer' team.
