Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University and the Swedish Saab group embark on a five-year research collaboration. The agreement currently covers two focus areas: air traffic management (ATM) and underwater robotic research projects, both areas are key activities for SAAB.

Boeing and the Saab Group have conducted a feasibility test launching a Small Diameter Bomb (SDB I) GPS guided aerial bomb from coupled to an M-26 rocket launched from an MLRS rocket launcher. The Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) allows the artillery system to reach targets from significantly longer distances, and engage hard-to-reach targets, while maintaining the Small Diameter Bomb’s flight maneuverability and accuracy.
The Czech Republic is extending the service of leased JAS39 C/D Gripen fighter jets in 12 years, maintaining the fleet of 14 Gripens through 2027. The new agreement includes some hardware modification to be implemented within the next year, and software updates to begin immediately. The Saab group has signed today a contract with the Brazilian Federal Government covering the development and production of 36 Gripen NG fighter aircraft for the Brazilian Air Force. The total order value is approximately $5.4 billion (SEK 39.3 billion).
