Eurosatory 2014 – First Impressions

Some of the highlights from the dynamic demonstration held today at Eurosatory 2014 included the Infotron IT 180 unmanned rotorcraft deploying a Cobra Mk2 UGV, both unmanned vehicles are provided by the French robotics company ECA Robotics. The Thales Group displayed the Hawkei Light Protected Mobility Vehicle. Renault Defense Trucks demonstrated a number of vehicles, including the 20 ton VAB Mk III 6x6 armoured personnel carrier offering NATO Level 4 protection, anti-blast and IED protection. anti-blast and IED protection. CS-13 Introduces New Networking Capabilities

Two of the first five prototypes undergoing installation and testing at the Prototype Integration Facility at the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center. These "super configuration" M-ATVsare equipped with Capability Set 13 (CS 13) assets. CS 13 is the first integrated group of networked technologies - radios, sensors and associated equipment and software - that will deliver an integrated voice and data capability throughout the entire Brigade Combat Team formation, from the brigade commander to the dismounted soldier.
In October 2012 the US Army embarked on an ambitious upgrade of its tactical command and control system, introducing new radios, networking and satellite communications systems to modernize the command and control layers of its infantry brigade combat teams. The light formations - Infantry, airborne, airmobile and mountain brigades will be equipped first and the last to roll in will be the armored brigades, currently scheduled to receive the equipment in 2019.

UAE Orders 750 M-ATV Vehicles from Oshkosh Corporation

The UAE is buying 750 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicles (M-ATVs). Deliveries will commence between January and August 2013, pending standard regulatory requirements. The contract grants the UAE options for more vehicles in the future.

Oshkosh Unveils Its Prototype For Canda’s TAPV Program
