Nexter Embarks on a New Generation Caesar MK2 Upgrade

France’s Nexter company has announced the receipt of an order worth €600 million from the national armament development agency (DGA) to develop and produce a more mobile and better-protected version of its Caesar truck-mounted self-propelled howitzer to be designated Caesar 6x6 Mark 2 New generation (NG).

French SCORPION Regiments to Receive 20 Command Vehicles By Year’s End

The French Delegation for Armaments (DGA) has qualified the command post vehicle (EPC) variant of the GRIFFON vehicle, destined to equip the Scorpion regiments in the French and Belgian Armies. The SCORPION program calls for the delivery of 333 EPCs, half of which will be delivered by 2025. The arrival of the GRIFFON EPC is complementary to the GRIFFON VTT Félin, with the goal of projecting a joint battle group (GTIA) into a foreign theatre of operations by 2021.

France Introduces Scorpion’s New Member – VBMR-Light

The French defense General Armament Directorate (DGA) Ministry of Defense awarded Nexter a contract for the development, procurement, and support of the Light, Multirole Armored Vehicle (VBMR-L). Initial deliveries of VBMR-L are expected by 2022.

France to invest €330 million upgrading 218 Leclerc Main Battle Tanks

The French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) notified Nexter Systems of the Leclerc tank renovation contract. This order constitutes the third operation launched by the French Ministry of Defence under the SCORPION programme intended to modernise the French Army's contact forces.

French Defense awards Scorpion development contracts worth €752 million

The French ministry of Defense has awarded a development and production contract worth €752 million. Follow-on production of nearly 2,000 armoured vehicles will cost additional €4.2 billion, built jointly by Nexter, Renault Trucks Defense and Thales under the GME consortium.
