Russian group offers communications upgrades for Indian Su-30MKI

The Russian group United Instrument Manufacturing Concern (UIMC) is introducing advanced communications gear to enhance data communications on the Indian Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet. Systems presented at Aero India 2015 include the S-112 aviation data communication system, NKVS-27 multi-channel voice/data radio AT-E data exchange terminal, the Russian equivalent to Western JTIDS/Link 16.

Aero-India 2013: The Indian Air-Force Plans to Induct BrahMos by 2015

The Indo-Russian BrahMos missile is advancing well and is slated to begin flight testing late in 2013. According to Shivathnu Pillai, CEO and managing director of BrahMos Aerospace, the missile is scheduled to be fully integrated on the Su-30MKI by the time the enhanced Su-30MKI aircraft is handed over the Indian Army next year.
