Brazil has purchased Royal Navy ship HMS Ocean, the helicopter carrier recently retired from the Royal Navy service. The UK Ministry of Defense is selling the Ocean for £84 million. The vessel will remain in the UK until the autumn of 2018.
The Brazilian Air Force Embraer KC-390 achieved Initial Operational Capability (IOC) today. As part of the IOC, Embraer obtained a KC-390 Provisional Type Certificate from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), According to the schedule, in 2018, the final Type Certificate will be issued. Embraer today successfully performed the first flight of the new military transport and aerial refueling jet, the KC-390.
The Italian vehicle manufacturer Iveco has signed a contract to sell 80 vehicles to the Lebanese military and police. The deal, worth about 30 million euros, includes 25 light armored vehicles and six mine protected armored vehicles to be produced in Italy and ten Brazilian produced VBTP-MR amphibious armored personnel carriers. The remaining vehicles include unarmored military trucks.
