IAI’s Barak-ER Performs Successful Ballistic missile Intercept

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) today unveiled details of the comprehensive trials series of Barak-ER system, tested against a range of scenarios and threats, culminated with the intercept of a ballistic missile target by the BARAK ER (Extended Range) interceptor. BARAK-ER provides wide-area protection against a range of air, sea, and ground threats, including ballistic, ground-to-ground, and cruise missiles, UAVs, and helicopters.

New Russian Armor – First analysis: Armata

The Russian Ministry of Defense publicly presenting today the first members of the Armata family of heavy armored vehicles - the T-14 main battle tank and T-15 armored infantry fighting vehicle. The two vehicles are designed to become the spearhead of armored formations of the Russian Army, replacing T-72, BMP-2 and MT-LB based platforms.

North Korea Conducts a Successful Tests of a Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV)

A week after the second test of a missile with a hypersonic warhead, North Korea conducted another test flight of such a missile. According to the flight map released by the Koreans, the missile was launched into a ballistic trajectory. This was the third reported test of a hypersonic glide vehicle reported by North Korea.
